In her art Ólöf works with themes relating to nature and science on one hand, and the body and the human experience on the other. For the past year she has been focusing on bird paintings that are illustrative of the human tendency to mirror himself in the natural world. While the content of her works usually relates to the natural world and the human body the visual elements of her works are heavily inspired by cartoons and illustrations. Her visual language is charecterised by strong colours, a flat visual structures, patterns and bold outlines.
